Can two VGA monitors connected at 1 port be set up as an extended display?

I want to set up my two VGA monitors to work independently from each other and not as duplicates.

I am using a split VGA cable. My PC has no HDMI, just a 15 pin VGA and one 9 pin VGA output. There's also two of the SATA-4KHDMI looking connectors.

My machine is running Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon version 6.4.8
