I have Gigabyte Aorus Elite 9070XT and it behaves very strangely every time I turn it off or reboot. I have 2 monitors, connected to the 2 DP ports on the card. One is a 36” wide-screen, the other is a standard 22” Dell monitor. After a reboot of any kind, Windows appears to only recognize one monitor, but displays onto both, as if they were just smooshed together. The resolution is also different. It makes it really weird because if I try to maximize a window, it is like 3/4s on one screen and 1/4 on the other.
Going into settings, I can see it only recognizes one monitor, and says none found if I try to detect the second. The only way to get it back to normal is to physically pull both cables from the back, swap their locations, and plug it back in. Everything goes back to how I set it - resolution, orientation, all of it. But the next time I boot, here we go again.
It also doesn’t matter which is in which port - they just have to be swapped. So sometimes my widescreen is on one port, sometimes the other, and it doesn’t seem to make a difference. I’ve tried removing and redownloading drivers, nothing seems to work.
Side note: when Windows is only seeing one monitor, the Adrenaline software sees them both. So… now I’m really confused.
I did attempt a snapshot, but it isnt really useful, since it just shows a single pane, like ultra wide. After uninstalling/reinstalling the AMD firmware earlier today, it now appears to be extending the screen, but not keeping the settings (resolution and the side monitor is flipped to portrait, but its back to landscape after reboot. Windows is still not seeing it as 2 monitors, but Adrenaline is. If i try to "arrange displays" to fix it in adrenaline, it just opens the Windows display options.
