How to display two applications on one monitor and one of those applications on another monitor?

I'm a Windows user. I am giving an in-person presentation, and in this presentation it would include live coding.

I want to be able to have my notes and code open on my main monitor, but only my code (same application) open on a second monitor. I only have two monitors.

Here are some ideas I came up with, but I don't really know how to execute:

  1. Have the second monitor only out the coding application that I have open. Kind of like how the share screen works in Zoom, it will only share that application and nothing else, but I can still see other applications on my main screen. (Don't want to make a Zoom call with slow internet just to do this, so give me other suggestions).
  2. Have 2 virtual screens on the computer. The main monitor will be able to switch (smoothly, if possible) between screen one (notes) and screen two (code), but the second monitor will always display screen two (code) no matter what the first monitor is displaying.

How would I be able to execute any one of those ideas?
