I'm setting up a new home office and building a desktop PC, but in the meantime I'm a huge fan of using multiple monitors — the more, the better! Unfortunately, my current laptop can only support 3 monitors at the same time due to GPU limitations.
I’d like to expand beyond that, but I’m trying to avoid buying a new laptop or replacing the internal graphics card (which isn’t always feasible with laptops anyway). I’ve come across basic solutions like mirroring displays, but that doesn’t really solve my problem.
So my question is:
- Are there ways to add more monitors to a laptop without changing the GPU or buying a new machine?
- Are there docking stations with integrated GPUs that allow foradditional monitors?
- Are there other clever workarounds (like USB to HDMI adapters orexternal GPU enclosures)?
I feel like I might be the only one with this issue, as most of the advice online just recommends buying a laptop with a better GPU.
Any insights, experiences, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
