How to stop monitors from re-arranging when TV turned on?

My issue is probably typically, however, I am wondering I can minimise the effect or disable it.

My PC is upstairs and has a 4080 Super, so 3x DisplayPort and 1x HDMI.

The desk upstairs has 3x screens:

  • Left is 1080p
  • Middle is 4k
  • Right is 1080p

All connected by DisplayPort connections; that may not be relevant or the res but best to fill in all the gaps I guess.

Then I have my LG C1 connected via HDMI to the final port on the GPU - the TV being downstairs via a 15m Fibre HDMI.

Overall it works really well, I can use the system up or downstairs and I do quite a lot of gaming etc. downstairs on the large screen.

So with all that out of the way here is the issue.

When someone turns on,off the TV downstairs my monitors have a freak out for a moment as if they are re-configuring; which I guess makes sense.

Only I have the HDMI/TV disabled in the multi-screen setup i.e. "Do not extend this screen", so in my mind it shouldn't be having a freakout.

Is there anyway to stop this from occuring at all? Windows or the GPU just ignore that it was turned on --- I would have to specifically enable extend screen if I wanted it on [which I don't].
