27in 4K monitor for (Intel) old MacBook Pro [closed]

I'm looking for some input what people's experience is with using 4K monitors with Intel-based Macs.

I have a 2017 15in MacBook Pro (with Radeon Pro 560 4GB graphics) and currently use it with two 27in 1080p monitors. I'd love to upgrade them to 4K – something like this one from LG or this one from Philips – but I'm a bit worried my Mac might not handle them. When it's warm and I have many windows open on different monitors, my Mac already runs quite hot, fans on full speed, etc. So I'd love to hear others' experiences if that's feasible.

I know, eventually I'll have to upgrade my MacBook and I've been eyeing the 15in MacBook Air (the current MacBook Pro is a bit out of budget and also too heavy), but I need a two monitor setup for work in addition to the built-in display, and the M3 only supports two external monitors in clamshell mode ... hoping for the M4 version ...
