I saw this question on other forums but I have yet to find an answer. I just bought a MacBook Pro 16 inch and for development I usually use a second monitor. However, I noticed that when I connect it to my monitor a Pavilion 27xw the surface gets hot and checking the temperatures I saw the average temp is 60 degrees Celsius at 97% cpu idle and the gpu around 70. This is the average temps not running any other app and I am doubtful how it will handle over time since heat can damage the components. I wonder if there is a solution to this issue or if there is any other laptop to consider. I chose apple for how reliable people say they are but this is concerning. I like to run dual monitors so clam shell is not a solution that I consider.
